Quarry Hill Nature Center

Quarry Hill Nature Center is an environmental education center located within a 329-acre park that features a range of diverse habitats. The center includes an Exploration Hall with hands-on exhibits, over 35 species of live animals, an aquarium with native fish, an indoor observation beehive, and a bird-watching room. Outdoor attractions include miles of hiking and biking trails, a historic sandstone cave, and a fossil quarry. The center is open daily, providing various educational programs and activities for visitors of all ages, including seasonal events like snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

Soldiers Memorial Field Park

Soldiers Field Memorial Park is a 150-acre park that offers a wide variety of recreational amenities and attractions. Key features include a large aquatics area with a lazy river, waterslides, lap pool, and splash pad for family-friendly water play. The park also has multiple playgrounds, including basketball courts, tennis courts, and a golf course. There are several picnic shelters, walking and biking trails, and a nature play area. The park is also home to the Soldiers Field Veterans Memorial, which honors military veterans with monuments and plaques, serving as a place for reflection and remembrance.  

Mayo Civic Center

The Mayo Civic Center is a versatile event venue offering a range of spaces suitable for concerts, conventions, sports events, weddings, and more. The center includes several key facilities including a large arena, an exhibit hall, the Dr. Charles H. Mayo Presentation Hall, an auditorium, multiple ballrooms, suites, meeting rooms, and pre-function spaces. The center is equipped with advanced audio-visual services, guest services, and food and beverage options. Its convenient location makes it a central hub for community events and visitors alike. 

Plummer House

The Plummer House is a historic English Tudor mansion that was once the home of Dr. Henry S. Plummer, a key figure at the Mayo Clinic. The house, built in the early 20th century, stands five stories high and features 49 rooms, showcasing the architectural innovation and style of its time. It sits on 11 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds that include formal gardens, a bird trail, a water tower, and other unique features. Today, the house serves as a venue for private events, such as weddings and gatherings, and is open for public tours during the summer months.
